This dish may not look all that but it was actually pretty good for a simple looking dish. This dish was the onglet aux echalotes, a pepper crusted steak served with cognac sauce and mashed potatoes. The steak was extremely tender, so much so that you can use a fork to cut through it. The sauce that was glazed over the steak was delicious which I can’t really describe it. The mashed potatoes was also a surprising experience, as it was very fluffy, no clumps, and tasted like it was home-made. Though the portion size was average, it was defiantly a meal for a king, or queen! I must mention that the outside and location of this fine restaurant should have been in a fancier area like Santana Row. Even the inside was a bit plain for their high quality food. It would be like eating high-class food at Macdonald’s ( bit exaggeration but you know what I mean). All in all, this dish was excellent. YUMM!
